Travelling into the Cape Winelands, the route follows valleys settled in the 17th century, where South Africa’s wine industry first developed. Stellenbosch, the country’s second-oldest town, reflects early Cape Dutch architecture and academic heritage. The journey continues to Franschhoek, founded by French Huguenots whose influence still defines the valley’s wine culture, before concluding in Paarl, a town closely linked to the development of Afrikaans and regional identity. The experience includes wine tastings at selected estates across the three regions.
